County Executive Mike Farmer and Roane County Park Advisory Board Chairman Rick Ross cut a corn stalk to officially open the first ever Roane County Corn Maze.

County Commission Chairman Troy Beets and Rockwood City Mayor James L. Watts and wife, Vickie, joined in to help celebrate the Grand Opening of the Corn Maze.  Rainy weather put a damper on the festivities but the maze will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through November 15, 2009.  Large groups can schedule a time Monday - Thursday by calling Tony Brown at 865-466-0294 or by emailing a request to litterfree@roanegov.org.
