This year's Founder's Day Event was held in the same place as last year - The Circuit Courtroom on the 2nd floor
of the Courthouse in Kingston - the crowd was down a little from last year, but the event was a resounding success.
Five "Roane Treasures" and one "Golden Treasure" were honored at the event.
County Executive
Mike Farmer recognized all the World War II Veterans who were present and gave each of them a certificate thanking them for
their service to our country. He read an actual account of how one veteran was injured and his experience in treatment
and recovery.
Cake, chips and punch were served in the courtroom across the hall after the event.
